A new report by the United Nations reveals that no country has achieved full legal equality for women. Despite progress in gender policies, gaps in employment, property rights, equal pay, and safety continue to limit women’s rights worldwide.
Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) बच्चों को यौन अपराधों से बचाने के लिए बनाया गया एक सख्त भारतीय कानून है। इस कानून के तहत 18 वर्ष से कम उम्र के बच्चों के साथ किसी भी प्रकार के यौन शोषण, उत्पीड़न या अश्लील कृत्य पर कठोर सजा का प्रावधान है, जिसमें लंबी जेल, आजीवन कारावास और जुर्माना शामिल हो सकता है। इसमें विशेष अदालतों द्वारा त्वरित सुनवाई, बच्चे की पहचान गोपनीय रखना और बाल-मित्र प्रक्रिया अपनाना अनिवार्य किया गया है। यह कानून बच्चों की सुरक्षा, सम्मान और न्याय सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से लागू किया गया है।
